Marsh Creek State Park is a 1,705 acres Pennsylvania state park in Upper Uwchlan and Wallace Townships. The park is the location of the 535-acre man-made Marsh Creek Lake, where people enjoy hiking, boating, kayaking, and fishing.

The land for what would become Marsh Creek State Park was first purchased by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on July 4, 1937 as part of an effort to control flooding along Marsh Creek. Construction began on Marsh Creek Dam in 1939 and was completed in 1942. The dam was built to provide flood control and water supply for nearby communities while also creating a recreational area with the state park.

West Chester University is located in West Chester, PA. It is a public university with more than 15,000 students enrolled. It offers bachelor's degrees in more than 80 majors and programs as well as master's degrees in nursing and education. The school also offers doctoral degrees in nursing science, physical therapy and education administration.

Delaware County Community College has locations in Downingtown, Exton, West Grove, Phoenixville, and Media. It is a public community college that serves over 12,000 students each year from Chester County and surrounding counties including Delaware, Philadelphia Metro Area, Bucks County and Montgomery County.
